Good Governance
Grounded in a vision of good governance that integrates spiritual and moral principles with practical and political objectives, this committee will consider ways in which contemporary practices of governance, not only in relation to governments, but also religions, corporations, NGOs, and even families, can be developed in accordance with core spiritual and moral values. Among the central concerns of this committee will be UN Renewal, the development of the interreligious council at the United Nations, and the ways in which to build, in a religiously pluralistic context, fruitful, constructive partnership and cooperation between religion and spiritual principles, on the one hand, and government, society, law and public policy.
