The Eburnea's Land, as it is called by Ivorians, is the most cosmopolitan country in West Africa. Independent since August 7, 1960, Côte d'Ivoire has known a miraculous growth compared to other West African countries. As a "terra hospitalia," 30 percent of its inhabitants are foreigners. It is the country of cocoa and coffee. Despite the political crisis since 2002, the country has not ceased growing.

Universal Peace Federation (formerly Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace) activities started in 2000. Since then we have provided guests for almost all international gatherings, both in the USA or  Korea. Until 2003 we had only 13 Ambassadors for Peace. From 2003 to 2005, the number increased to 137 and by the inauguration ceremony of the Universal Peace Federation on December 8, there were 1,000 Ambassadors for Peace. Today the number has reached 2,500. Now Rev. Sun Myung Moon's vision is supported by politicians, religious leaders, academicians and leaders of civil society. The year 2008 marked a critical step in the education of our Ambassadors for Peace. All Ambassadors for Peace who participated are very moved by the content of the lectures and are so grateful. Little by little the national board is working to develop procedures. It is clear that we are on the good track to reach higher levels of society.
