Address to World Summit
February 11-13, 2022
Note: World leaders were invited to World Summit 2022 but due to air travel restrictions, participated by submitting a video message. The following text is a transcription of the recording.
First of all, I would like to give thanks to God and express my deep gratitude to the organizers for giving me the opportunity to take part in this great World Summit 2022.
Allow me to commend and support the leadership of the co-founder of the Universal Peace Federation, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Mother of Peace, as the initiator of this great event under the theme: “Towards Peace on the Korean Peninsula.” This is also the place to appreciate the commitment and involvement of the co-chairs, H.E. Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary General of the United Nations.
I would like to express with conviction our commitment to support the auspicious initiative of the reunification of the Korean Peninsula. The profound changes we are experiencing in today’s world require us to go beyond our borders and combine our efforts in order to face the major challenges we are confronted with.
This is why it is important to achieve reunification both for the security and development of the two societies on the Korean peninsula and for the stability of Northeast Asia and prosperity in the world.
Let all the peoples of the world stand up as one to call upon the brotherly people of the Korean peninsula and their allies to use the power of true love and mutual understanding to achieve reconciliation and peace on the peninsula.
I would like to conclude by inviting the whole world to support the unremitting efforts of the co-founder of the Universal Peace Federation, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace, to bring the project aimed at the reunification of the peninsula to a successful conclusion.
I thank you.
