Address to Peace Summit 2023

Thank you so much for organizing this important congress and for the invitation. We live in most challenging times. It is of utmost importance for politicians to think about how to achieve peace and prosperity for the people. But we also must be aware that peace is needed not only at the borders of nations. Peace is needed in the minds and hearts of men and women in our countries.
We, as politicians, must know that peace with God can only be achieved through a personal relationship of individuals with their Creator. In Isaiah 9,6 the prophet talks about the Messiah: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Christians all over the world have celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus brought Peace to individuals when he was here on earth, and he can still do so today.
As politicians we need to apply principles of the Creator in the framework of law, rights, and responsibilities, so that people can make free decisions, live a prosperous and meaningful life according to their abilities and needs and reflect the image of God in which they have been created.
It is important for politicians to focus on the following things:
- We must understand that a renewal of ethics and morals is essential for our society to live a godly and free Decadent developments, individualism, hedonism, and egoism lead to a world of destruction. These decadent philosophies are more destructive than any climate change. Therefore, we must pray and provide the necessary religious freedoms for people to live according to God´s principles.
- We need to respect the hierarchy of creation: God established two institutions: marriage — between man and woman— and the family before He instituted Government therefore should protect these institutions and should provide their necessary freedoms. Too much government rule over family will lead to suppression and rebellion.
- We need to adhere to and protect basic Peace must have an environment of free speech, free press, freedom to demonstrate, free markets, opposition rights and free and fair elections.
- We must provide the necessary government force to fight evil in our As long as corruption, gang criminality, mass production and distribution of hard drugs, human trafficking, child abuse and mafia structures exist, peace is under constant threat.
- And lastly: We need to pray for wisdom in our everyday We must see ourselves as servants of the state. Let us take time to reflect our roles and let us be guided by the Prince of Peace so we can be vessels for the promotion of His glory!
