Dialogue & Alliance: Securing the Conditions for Peace: Scholarly Perspectives

New York, USA—The 2019 winter issue of Dialogue & Alliance, a journal of UPF, is now available. The theme of this issue is “Securing the Conditions for Peace: Scholarly Perspectives.”
Occasionally, issues of Dialogue and Alliance have featured guest editors who draw on articles that are relevant to our focus on topics of peace and security, human development, interfaith dialogue, reconciliation, and the work of NGOs, faith-based organizations and the United Nations. Our guest editors—Michael Hardy of Coventry University, Michael Platzer, who had a long and distinguished career at the United Nations and who currently co-chairs a Coalition of Faith-Based Organizations devoted to crime prevention, and Nadya Karpenko, who oversaw the process of producing this project from start to finish—are each eminently qualified and passionate in their commitment to peace, conflict resolution and reconciliation.
The essays they have put together for this volume were first presented during an International Peace Studies Conference convened in Vienna, Austria in 2018.Dialogue and Alliance, and the Universal Peace Federation, wish to express appreciation to these guest editors and are appreciative of the collaboration and partnership in the production of this volume. We trust our readers will find these articles informative and insightful, and a welcome contribution to our ongoing efforts to build a world of lasting peace.
