Africa Day Rally Held at Accra High School

Accra, Ghana - The Universal Peace Federation-Ghana held a rally with the students and teachers of the Labone Senior High School in Accra on May 25 in commemoration of Africa Day. The theme for the rally was: “Understanding the Root Cause of Conflict.”
Rev. Itia Tegha gave a presentation on the principles of peace and conflict resolution. Afterwards, Mr. Joseph A. Abbey, a tutor at the Accra Teacher Training College, gave a commentary. About 500 students were in attendance.
Afterwards, some students came up to the stage and requested contact information in order to learn more. Among the students who expressed interest were Christians, Muslims, and a Hindu.
