Pesaro, Italy - An Ambassador for Peace in Pesaro invited Giorgio Gasperoni from the Universal Peace Federation and Alessandra Tomassi from the Women's Federation for World Peace to give a presentation to his students about Africa Day on May 25.
Giuliano Segantini teaches Italian Literature at the Scientific Lyceum in the city of Pesaro, and he arranged for presentations to three of his classes.
The presentations included a discussion about how the organizations work with the United Nations to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and the schools in Africa supported by the Women's Federation. A member of UPF from Kenya who is currently in Italy talked about activities in his country, and David Gasperoni described his experiences in Cote d'Ivoire two years ago while participating in a service-learning program for youth.
