Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Grants Available

The US Institute of Peace invites proposals for grants to fund projects focused on preventing and resolving violent conflict and promoting post-conflict peacebuilding in settings outside of the United States. Areas of interest include:
- conflict analysis and prevention
- mediation and conflict resolution
- post-conflict peace and stability operations
- religion and peacemaking
- women and girls in conflict and peacebuilding
- rule of law and transitional justice
- economies and conflict
- media and conflict
- the impacts of war and conflict
Support is provided for projects involving research; identification of promising models and effective practices; development of practitioner resources; development and delivery of education/training and dialogue programs; and the production of films, radio programs, and other media.
This is an annual competition. Awards, generally ranging from $50,000 to $120,000, are made to nonprofit organizations and individuals affiliated with nonprofit organizations both in the U.S. and internationally. The United States Institute of Peace is an independent institution funded by the U.S. Congress.
