Welcome to the International Leadership Conference
On behalf of the Universal Peace Federation, and the founders, Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, we are pleased to welcome you to the International Leadership Conference. The ILC seminar series, which began in Washington DC in February 2007, focuses on the theme, "The Founder’s Vision and the UPF Worldview: Providing Vision and Leadership at a Time of Global Crisis.”
Seminar participants have included members of the diplomatic community at the United Nations, and from Washington, New York, Tokyo, Seoul, and other leading capitals of the world. Members of national parliaments and other representative bodies, religious and community leaders have also been well represented, together with leading Ambassadors for Peace from around the world, including members of the UPF Presiding Council, the Global Peace Council, Regional Peace Councils, and others engaged in the work of the UPF.
We believe this Leadership Conference will serve as an important step in the advancement of the mission and work of the Universal Peace Federation. As we each grow and deepen our understanding of core values, principles and best practices of peacebuilding and human development, we can provide the leadership the world so desperately needs.
