Buenos Aires, Argentina - “Honoring a legacy of peace" was the theme of a special meeting on August 18 at the Peace Embassy in Buenos Aires. Five months earlier, Rev. Sun Myung Moon held an event in New York, initiating these ceremonies that are taking place around the world. On this occasion in Buenos Aires, various Argentinians were honored, including the former president of the Republic Dr. Arturo Frondizi (1908-1995); the first President of UPF-Argentina, Dr. Juan J. Blasnik (1930-2006); and the first representative of the Unification Movement sent to this country, Walter J. Piorkowski (1930-2006).
