Argentina-2017-04-07-UPF-Argentina Chorus Performs at International Congress for Educators

Buenos Aires, Argentina—UPF-Argentina’s interfaith and intercultural chorus had the honor to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2nd International Congress of the Latin American Network of Vocational Guidance Professionals (Relapro), “Approaches, Models and Strategies for Vocational Guidance in Latin America.” The event was held on April 7, 2017 in the main hall of the UdeMM Private University in Buenos Aires. The chorus performed “Por ti seré” and “Naciones Unidas para la Paz: Himno Interreligioso e Intercultural,”  written by the singer Wilson Carminatti, and composed by Carlos Hernández, both of whom are Ambassadors for Peace.

The chorus was composed of (in alphabetical order) Sergio Alonso, Enrique Bilbao, Tony Brizzola, Wilson Carminatti, Luna Cochea, Fernando Gemelli, Samira Hatoum, Maestro Carlos Hernández, Noriko Ietsuka, Arika Kakuta, Araceli Melgarejo, Eleonora Melgarejo, Yoshie Miura, Mariela Spangenberg, Alba Luz Tangarife, Bruno Vega and Faiza Yahia. The singers are from Japan, Syria, Lebanon, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina; many of them are Ambassadors for Peace or the children of Ambassadors for Peace.

The chorus, a project of UPF-Argentina, was established to expand dialogue, foster religious cooperation and support activities that reaffirm the values of brotherhood, the family and universal peace.
