Buenos Aires, Argentina—Four Ambassadors for Peace spoke at a panel discussion on “The Unity of Women Enhances the Peace Process,” organized by the Argentina chapter of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), an affiliated organization.
The Ambassadors for Peace—Mercosur’s Parliament (Parlasur), Mrs. Fernanda Gil Lozano; Mrs. Gabriela Abarzúa; pastor Edith Noemí Paredes and Ms. Mieko Iketo—talked about their experiences related to and perspectives on the discussion topic. The event, which took place on June 29, 2017, at the Salón Alhambra in Club Español in Buenos Aires city, was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of WFWP International.
Also at the event, the Global Women’s Peace Network (GWPN), an initiative founded by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of UPF, that seeks to promote healing and peace-building through reconciliation, forgiveness and love, was introduced. “With their natural tendency to reach love, patience and forgiveness, women can embrace the world as the oceans embrace the continents.”
