Central America and the Caribbean—The regional chapter of UPF-Central America and the Caribbean held a webinar of the International Association of First Ladies for Peace (IAFLP) on the theme “The Global Role of Women’s Contributions to Peace and Development.”
Belize City, Belize - The theme of "A Women's Movement for Real Change" inspired Belize women to seek leadership roles in their community and nation as they gathered on March 9 for a celebration of the International Women's Day.
Belize City, Belize - The Global Peace Festival in Belize was the first time that the idea of celebrating peacebuilding efforts with neighboring Guatemala had come to people's minds. Though small compared to the GPF efforts around the world, the November 28 and 29 events may impact the future of Belize and its neighboring countries in tremendous ways.
On July 17, 2008, the Cuellar family, the nation of Belize, Central America, and the whole Western hemisphere lost a precious son, a father, a brother, a patriot, a true friend, and a great man of God. Mark Anthony Cuellar was a true pioneer and visionary, a man of boundless enthusiasm.

Belize City, Belize - Dr. Hyun Jin Moon received a warm welcome from the acting mayor of Belize City and a handshake from Hon. Manuel Heredia, Jr., Minister of Tourism and Aviation and Hon. Erwin Contreras, Minister of Economic Development and Industry – both dedicated Ambassadors for Peace.
In June 2007, I had the opportunity to go to Belize to teach Character Education in Belize City. During our one-month internship, we stayed at the Universal Peace Federation Peace Embassy, located in the heart of Belize City.
