North America—The sixth session of the June 2021 International Leadership Conference for UPF’s North America region was titled “Economic and Political Realities in Northeast Asia.”

United States—The International Association for Peace and Economic Development (IAPD) cosponsored with two international organizations an online conference on “Public–Private Partnerships: The Business of Telehealth.”
United States—Commemorating the UN International Day of Families, UPF organized the virtual program “Families and New Technology: The Challenging Impact of Social Media.”
USA—A dear friend of the wider UPF community, Dr. Richard Lowell Rubenstein, age 97—world-renowned author, rabbi, scholar, university president—passed away on May 16, 2021.
United States—The International Day of Families was commemorated by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs with a webinar on May 14, 2021, on “Families and New Technologies.”
United States—The International Association for Peace and Economic Development (IAED) and the Washington Times Foundation continued their weekly webinar series with a May 11 session examining the application of economic principles to the Korean Peninsula.
The Americas—Leaders from many spheres of North and South American society discussed new pathways to peace on the Korean Peninsula.

New York, United States—On April 21, 2021, the Coalition of Faith-Based Organizations hosted a webinar on “The UNODC Crime Congress—The Kyoto Declaration: Next Steps for Civil Society and Faith-Based Organizations.”
New York, NY—UPF’s second virtual International Leadership Conference concluded with participant reflections, a call to action, and the signing of the resolution proposing the inauguration of Think Tank 2022 for the Firm Establishment of a Unified Korea.
United States—On April 20, 2021, the International Association of Academicians for Peace (IAAP) held a webinar on the theme “West Meets East in Northeast Asia: A Values Proposition.”
Europe and the Middle East—Experts from Morocco, Israel, the United States and Europe discussed the Morocco Tripartite Agreement.
United States—Almost 600 people were in attendance for the webinar sponsored by the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP) on the topic “Humanitarian Aid: Building Trust with North Korea.”
