To order the current issue of Dialogue & Alliance
New York, USA—The latest issue of Dialogue & Alliance, a journal of UPF, is now available online. The theme of this issue is “The Relevance of Interreligious and Inter-Civilizational Dialogue to the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.”
As the 70th session of the UN General Assembly prepares to convene in September 2015, formulating the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are at the top of the agenda.
Many non-governmental organizations, faith-based organizations, and civil society activists are making their voices heard, and offering their recommendations and proposals to member states and the UN in order both to strengthen the SDGs and to demonstrate their relevance to the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda.
UPF, in cooperation with the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the Organization for Islamic Cooperation, the Holy See Observer Mission to the UN, and UNITAR (UN Institute for Training and Research) convened a conference on the relevance of interreligious and inter-civilizational dialogue to the fulfillment of the SDGs at the UN Headquarters in New York on March 27, 2015. Several articles originally presented at this conference are included in this summer 2015 edition of the journal. Additional articles in this volume underscore religions significance for social transformation and the achievement of peace and development.
