Among the 220 people who attended the program were university students; young professionals; and the president, the president of the Directive Committee, and the vice president of the UCC, Dr. Nejama Bergman, Mrs. Ivania Toruno, and Dr. Jorge Moreno Chávez, respectively. UPF representatives included Dr. Chang Shik Yang, president of UPF for Central America and the Caribbean and Mr. Agustín Jarquín Anaya, president of UPF-Nicaragua.

The event opened with a prayer, given by Rev. Jorge de Oliveira, representing FFWPU, and welcoming remarks, which were given by the vice president of the UCC.

The president of UPF-Nicaragua spoke on the theme: “The Role of the Youth to Maintain Peace in a Challenging Universe.”

Dr. Yang spoke about the vision and role of the YSP. He encouraged the youth to strengthen and develop a true character and seek peaceful solutions to achieve peace in the world.
