Peace Rallies Expand throughout Nepal

More than 900 gatherings took place throughout Nepal in late 2006 as part of the Universal Peace Federation's Peace Tour V. In 20 of these events, guest speakers were two distinguished Korean Ambassadors for Peace, Prof. Lee Chang Sup and Dr. Cho Kyung Chong.
At the Kathmandu metropolitan government rally, the Executive Director of the Metro Area expressed his gratitude for Father Moon's peace messages and said that the insights will be helpful in addressing the challenges facing the nation's capital city.
At another event, the Ambassadors for Peace were warmly welcomed by the great Hindu leader, Gurudev Swami Dr. Bikashnanda with 200 of his followers.
For the closing ceremony at the Peace Embassy Building in Kathmandu, 100 distinguished participants including former speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Taranath Ranabhat, current deputy speaker Hon. Chitralekha Yadav, and seven current members of the parliament were among the audience, which also included former ministers, members of parliament, and other national leaders.
