Religious Leaders Speak at Guinea Peace Tour Event

Conakry, Guinea - H.E. Michel Kamano, President of the Economic and Social Council of Guinea, gave the keynote speech at the Global Peace Tour event on March 25 at the Riviera Hotel. There were 169 people in attendance.
After entertainment by the Kpoma group, Mrs. Diaka Diakite gave the welcoming remarks. Mrs. Gloria Haba and Mr. Moriba Tokpa Kpoghomou served as emcees. Invocations were offered by H.E. El Hajj Mohamed Conte, Council of Religious Ministers, and Rev. Pastor Elie Findoundo, former president of the Protestant Churches of Guinea.
El Hadj Conte and Mr. Facinet Sylla gave special remarks, followed by the main speakers, Rev. Won Moon Choi and H.E. Michel Kamano. Mr. Jonas Haba concluded by explaining the mission of Ambassadors for Peace and appealing to everyone present to work together to build "One Family under God" in their communities and nation. Gifts of appreciation were offered to Rev. Choi and to Japanese goodwill ambassadors Mrs. Shimada and Mrs. Kamiyama.
Hadja Mariama Sow, president of the Women of Faith of Guinea and vice president of the World Association of Faith, was present at the event along with many women leaders. The audience also included professors, public officials, artists, and students.
