Peace Tour Inaugurates UPF in the Czech Republic
Friday, November 11, 2005
Prague, Czech Republic - A public exhibition about the Universal Peace Federation was held at the Ramada Hotel to publicize the inauguration of UPF in the Czech Republic. Day by day, more people visited the exhibit and expressed interest in the peace initiatives.
The hall was full, about 700 people and 200 in the overflow room, creating a high spirit felt by all. At the beginning there was a beautiful song by an opera singer from the National Theatre, a world peace blessing toast and prayer led by UPF Secretary General Dr. Thomas Walsh, and finally a member of the European Parliament gave a welcoming speech.
Rev. Sun Myung Moon spoke for about 170 minutes making many extemporaneous remarks in addition to reading from the text of the peace message. While some of the ideas were challenging, many people's hearts were touched.
