Peace Tour Inaugurates UPF in Peru

Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon arrived in Peru, land of the Andes and the home of Incan civilization on December 14, and went straight to the Lima Sheraton, just across from the national House of Justice.

During the day Trevor Jones of Tiempos del Mundo Peru, Frank Grow, the Associate Publisher, and I paid a visit to the President and Vice President of the Peruvian Congress to introduce the Universal Peace Federation and the vision for the peace tour.
The inaugural program began at the hotel at 5:30 with entertainment. The main program began at 6:15, and Father Moon was introduced at 7:30 to give the Peace Message of this global tour. He continued speaking until midnight and almost all the people stayed right to the end!

“I am sorry you have to endure for so long, and your bottom gets tired sitting on that chair,” Father Moon said, “but I am only meeting you for the first time and I don’t know when or if I’ll get to see you again.”
The event included an invitation for couples to join in a world peace blessing toast of marriage rededication.
