Friday, December 2, 2005
Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon arrived in Palau at noon on December 2 for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation.
The main event was convened at the Palau Cultural Center located in the heart of Koror city. Father Moon spoke for well over two hours, giving the peace message of the global tour to an audience of 500. The program included traditional Palauan songs, an invocation, welcome remarks from the Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs, Hon. Alexander Merep, and an address by the High Chief Reklai, Raphael Ngirmang.
“This is such a small island!” said Father Moon, “The island nations of the Pacific should work together. This is an era for bold, revolutionary steps.”
The event included an invitation for couples to join in a world peace blessing toast of marriage rededication.
