Peace Tour Inaugurates UPF in Latvia

Over 200 people attended the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation in Latvia. Mr. Jack Corley, Regional Secretary General of UPF-Eurasia, served as emcee. He introduced Dr. Sun Myung Moon's peace message, emphasizing the importance of God-centered families.
Dr. Juris Calitis, Dean of the Theology Faculty at the University of Latvia and a Lutheran pastor, gave the invocation and expressed great appreciation for the work of Father Moon.
Dr. Leons Bojars, an Ambassador for Peace and former Member of the Latvian Parliament, delivered a congratulatory address, underscoring the lifelong work of Father Moon for peace, an accomplishment he described as unparalleled in modern or ancient history.
The event included an invitation for couples to join in a world peace blessing toast of marriage rededication.
Ambassador for Peace appointments were presented to Rev. Calitis, Dr. Gaida Preimane, Chair, Medicine for Peace; Dr. Aivars Lazda, Latvia State University; Dr. Juris Zakis, Rector, Latvia State University; Dr. Tamara Khodakovskaya, Founder of the College of Free Development.
