St. Petersburg, Russia—A detailed 20-page article about the Family Federation for World Peace was included in the book Diversity of Religious Forms of Modern Russia, which was published this year.
The article, titled “Sun Myung Moon (1920-2012) and the Unification Church: On the Centenary of His Birth,” was written by Vladimir Egorov, a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy, Religious Studies and Theology at the Russian Christian Humanitarian Academy in St. Petersburg. Through participating in conferences of UPF and its affiliated organization Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), he became interested in the life and work of Reverend Moon.
Natalia Chigrina, the head of UPF in Northwest Russia, cooperated with Mr. Egorov by providing information about Reverend Moon and his numerous accomplishments.
