A police escort sped the party to the historic Manila Hotel, General MacArthur’s residence and headquarters during World War II.
The inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation in Taiwan took place at the Dr. Sun Yet Sen Memorial Hall and attracted a full house of 3,000 people. Vice President Ms. Lu Hsiu Lien gave the welcoming address.
Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon arrived in Hong Kong, China, for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation ceremony at the famous Peninsula Hotel.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon were met at the airport by Prince Sirivudh and Hon. Son Soubert, and about 500 people lined the entryway waving Cambodian flags.
Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon were given a royal traditional Malay welcome with the beating of drums; women dressed in traditional Malay, Chinese and Indian costumes welcomed them with garlands of orchids.
Indonesia - Mr. Alwi Shihab and Dr. Habib Chirzin welcomed Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon on Indonesia for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation.
Colombo, Sri Lanka - An excellent team prepared for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation in Sri Lanka: Mr. Thilairajan, Dr. Robert Kittel, Rev. John Gehring, Ambassador D.L. Mendis, and numerous Japanese and Nepalese volunteers.
