The Netherlands - On July 14, UPF-Netherlands hosted an Interreligious Rally for Family Values and World Peace in the Kurhaus Hotel, The Hague. Although Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon did not deliver the UPF peace message as scheduled, because of difficulties gaining entry into the country, Ambassadors for Peace pulled together to create a dynamic program.
Pakistan - Mr. Taj Hamad, Deputy Secretary General of UPF, and Dr. Robert Kittel, head of UPF-India, brought the UPF peace message to Pakistan.
Bridgetown, Barbados - Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon were welcomed to Barbados by the nation's former first couple, Sir Lloyd and Lady Sandiford.
Quito, Ecuador - “As a child I wanted to know the root of sin and evil in the world,” Dr. Sun Myung Moon said in his peace message at the inauguration of UPF in Ecuador. “I have so many secrets of heaven I want to communicate to you.”
Bogota, Colombia - Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon were welcomed to Colombia with special chants, prayers and ceremonies for peace and protection offered by Native American leaders and a group of elders from Colombia.
Beirut, Lebanon - The inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation began with the Lebanese National Anthem and a minute of silence in honor of recent victims of political terror.
Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon arrived in Peru, land of the Andes and the home of Incan civilization to inaugurate the Universal Peace Federation.
Sao Paulo, Brazil - The Convention Center was filled to its 2,500 capacity with a most enthusiastic crowd who welcomed Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon with the kind of thunderous, rousing ovation normally reserved for when the Brazilian national soccer team score a goal.
Buenos Aires, Argentina - Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon arrived in Buenos Aires for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation at the Sheraton Hotel.
Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Professor Ejup Ganic, President of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1999 to 2001, warmly welcomed Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon to Sarajevo for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon were met at the airport by Senator Ramon Alburquerque when they arrived to deliver the UPF peace message.
Sydney, Australia - The inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation in Australia brought together more than 500 peace activists, religious and political representatives across Australia to create a common platform for inter-faith dialogue.
