Tirana, Albania—The new national leader of UPF visited eight Local Peace Councils in the southern part of Albania.
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - Filled with the vision and belief that Las Vegas will soon gain a new reputation as a “city of giving,” Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon told an international audience of over 3000 on May 21 that God himself had great expectations for the long-notorious gaming capital of the world. “This is a time of quiet revolution,” the UPF Founder declared, “a time when the long era of sin and suffering will forever end, and a new age of God’s peace will begin.
Madrid, Spain - UPF-Spain wants to thank our network of Ambassadors of Peace for responding on a few days' notice and helping to make the program on "Building a World of Universal Peace at a Time of Global Crisis" a success. Many times in his speech Father Moon raised his hands and said, “I bless you all…. Take it as a blessing.” And truly we have been deeply blessed and thank our God above for His grace and compassion.
Kabul, Afghanistan - Fifty people attended a gathering at the Sitara Hotel, including the Deputy Minister of Culture, Ambassadors for Peace, Youth Ambassadors for Peace, social activists, directors of educational centers, and youth leaders.
Athens, Greece - The Global Peace Tour 2009 featured entertainment, presentations on globalization, family, society and environment, and on UPF’s peace-building principles.
San Marino - On May 9, some 150 people gathered to explore the development of a culture of peace.
Manukau City, New Zealand - May 8 was an unseasonably wintry day in Auckland, but this did not stop a crowd of about 250 from gathering for the Global Peace Tour program in New Zealand.
Zagreb, Croatia - The Global Peace Tour in Croatia featured a speech by Mr. Mark Brann, Secretary General of UPF in Europe.
Helsinki, Finland - On April 29, UPF-Finland hosted a conference at the New Parliament building on “Youth in a Multicultural Society.”
Yaoundé, Cameroon - Ambassadors for Peace filled the Hotel Franco meeting room for an April 25 conference that was part of the Universal Peace Federation Global Peace Tour.
Lisbon, Portugal - All generations, young and old, were represented at the Peace Tour evening program featuring the keynote address on the them of “One Family Under God,” delivered by UPF-Europe Chair Dr. Young-Cheol Song.
Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire - Mr. Gbocho Emmanuel, President of UPF-Côte d'Ivoire, welcomed guests to the Global Peace Tour program at the Abidjan City Hall on April 23. Voir aussi en français.
