UPF-Korea Hosts 39th Peace Forum

Seorak, Korea—UPF-Korea held the 39th Peace Forum on the theme, “Ideology for a Heavenly Unified Korea and Peace,” at the Hyo Jeong Cultural Center in Seorak, Korea on December 9, 2022.
In his welcoming message, UPF director-general, Dr. Young-ho Yun, expressed his hope for a meaningful discussion on the issue of values to take place at the event. Chairman of the Hyo Jeong Academic Foundation, Dr. Sung-bae Jin, delivered a lecture on the new Cold War between free democracy and communist dictatorship as viewed by Unification Thought. Mr. Yeol-soo Kim, director of security strategy at the Korea Institute for Military Affairs, spoke on the new Cold War from the viewpoint of a values alliance. Think Tank 2022 Policy Research Institute director, Mr. Jong-jin Park, gave a presentation on the future of a values alliance moving from Headwing thought to Godism.
In the panel discussion and Q&A session that followed, the speakers had a spirited discussion on a values alliance and peace in Northeast Asia.
