Sidon, Lebanon—Religious leaders came together to study the words of UPF co-founder Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon expressed in Arabic calligraphy.
Five Muslim leaders were invited to a meeting on October 22, 2022, to read together from the book Love and Peace in the Eyes of Rev. Moon.
UPF-Lebanon President Thomas Schellen introduced the book, which has 90 quotes on the topic of peace by Reverend Moon. The quotes are illustrated by 90 Arabic calligraphies created by Qais Saidi, a UPF Ambassador for Peace, and the quotes also are translated into English, German, and Reverend Moon’s native Korean.
All the participants at the meeting, which was held in the city of Saida at the home of Sheikh Sohip Alhapli, liked Reverend Moon's words very much, saying that his message really resonated with them.
As the response was so enthusiastic, UPF-Lebanon is planning to continue having such meetings.
