Paris, France—The "Dialogue & Alliance" interfaith forum held its monthly meeting on the theme "Leave No One Behind" in commemoration of the United Nations’ World Food Day.

The organizers received 118 requests for participation from 18 countries, and 23 people came to the meeting at the Espace Barrault conference center in Paris on October 23, 2022.

The moderator was Dorian Gravrand from the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP-France), an organization that is affiliated with UPF.

The first reading, from Buddhism, the preliminary passage for reverence (Pubbabhāganamakārapāṭha), was commented on by Śāriputra Christian Seyadou, vice president (Asia-Pacific) of the Cercle de Réflexion des Nations.

The second reading, Sura XXXVI.33 to 36, Yâ-sîn, was chanted by the Egyptian sheik Abdelbasset Abdessamad (1927-1988) and commented on by the  Islamologist Dr. Mouslim Fidahoussen.

A short musical break consisted of a video of "Famine Song" written by VIDA and performed by Balta, the women's choir of the University of Latvia.

The third reading, John 6:27 to 35 from the New Testament, was commented on by Laurent Ladouce, researcher at the Universal Peace Federation, who spoke about “the two hungers”: physical and spiritual.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session and some explanations by Jean-François Moulinet, coordinator of the "Dialogue & Alliance" interfaith forum.
