Excerpts from the Introduction:
The 21st century is characterized as a time of vertiginous and radical changes in all aspects of human life, but it is clear that religion conditions people's views about the other spheres of life.
In this culture of globalization and age of information, people of faith must interact with other religious traditions. With the mobility of religious terrorism and apartheid disguised as “religious endogamy” or “preventive insulation from the environment,” it is necessary to show the public that diverse religious people can work together.
The text is based on a presentation to students and professors at Colombia National University on September 17, 2009. The presentation aroused strong feelings in the audience. In our egoism, religious leaders have been building spiritual walls for centuries. My desire is to appeal to people to work together to build peace as one family under God.
