Bangkok, Thailand - The proposal to establish an Interreligious Peace Council in Thailand has been gaining momentum as committee members visit national leaders of the various religions in Thailand. Read reports about consultations with Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and Christian leaders and government officials.
These meetings grew out of consultations with Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Catholic Christian leaders that began in 2010. To read a report about a planning conference in February 2011, click here.
The vision is for a national Interreligious Peace Council that will work to solve conflict and promote cooperation, morality, goodness, and peace in Thai society.
