Taipei, Taiwan - Ven. Chen, Gui Xing, founder of Xuan-men Zhen Zong, a new Daoist group, brought 120 members and staff to UPF's headquarters in Taipei on May 4, 2014, for a discussion about UPF's principles of peace.
This Daoist group reveres Lord Guan Ti, or Guan Yun Chang, who was born in Shan Xi province during the Three Kingdoms era (220 – 260 AD). They place strong emphasis on family values and lead a very disciplined way of life. Mr. Chen Tuo Huan, President of UPF-Taiwan, had invited Ven. Chen to be part of UPF-Taiwan, and he has served on its Board of Directors since 2008.
Mr. Chai Mai Hsien, secretary general of UPF-Taiwan, described the teachings of UPF Founders Rev. and Mrs. Sun Mung Moon about the blessing in marriage and the vision of an ideal world of peace beginning with families who transcend cultural and religious barriers.
