Promoting Interreligious Cooperation in Argentina for Peacebuilding

Cordoba, Argentina - “Interreligious Cooperation in Peacebuilding” was the title of a speech given by Mr. Miguel Werner, UPF-Argentina’s secretary general, on Sept. 3, 2014, at the session on “Religious and Political Freedom” of the international congress on “Religious Freedom in the 21st Century: Religion, State, and Society,” which was organized by the Argentine Council for Religious Freedom Sept. 3-5, 2014, at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the National University of Córdoba.

On a previous occasion, he gave a lecture on "Interreligious Cooperation in Peacebuilding: Reflection on the Challenges of Dialogue" on May 27, 2014, to students of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Social Responsibility and Resilience of the Merchant Marine University in Buenos Aires. Apart from highlighting the importance of dialogue and the joint task of spiritual representatives to address current problems, both locally and globally, he gave a brief exposition about the peace initiatives developed by UPF-Argentina.
