Vancouver, Canada—A longtime member of the Baha’i Faith spoke about the origins of her faith and of its belief in humankind’s spiritual unity.

The main speaker of the March 29, 2015, meeting, Connie Waterman, has been a member of the Baha'i Faith for almost 45 years and currently serves as secretary of the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the city of Surrey in British Columbia.

She explained that Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha’i Faith, said his mission was to unite all the peoples of the earth so that humankind can live together as one family.

It was noted that the emphasis in the Baha'i teaching on the universality of humankind's relationship to God is in accordance with the basic principles of UPF.

The presentation was well received by the 23 Ambassadors for Peace and friends in attendance.
