São Paulo, Brazil—UPF representatives were among the faith leaders, politicians, business heads, and supporters of religious freedom who gathered for a dinner to celebrate Thanksgiving, organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in São Paulo, on November 26, 2015.
Elder Marcos Aidukaitis welcomed the guests and praised their efforts to defend and preserve religious freedom in the country.
A video highlighting the church’s activities in 2015—which included the creation of the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Religious Freedom and an event in April in the Sao Paulo Mosque to celebrate religious freedom, which more than 700 people attended—was also shown.
