Santa Fe, Argentina—On February 15, 2021, UPF-Argentina participated in an interreligious exhibit at the Federal Park Fair. The event was organized by the Interreligious Dialogue and Peace Culture Board. UPF-Argentina (Santa Fe) had its own stand, shared with the Peace Messengers Movement Pacis Nuntii and coordinated by Ambassadors for Peace Eduardo Borri and Jackeline Giusti, as well as Marwan Gill, from the Muslim Ahmadiyya Community in Argentina. UPF’s various peace initiatives, such as interreligious and intercultural dialogue and cooperation and the Peace Road initiative were shared at the stand.
During the event, the park was decorated with stands from various faith, spiritual and peace culture communities, which presented a great variety of activities so families and bystanders could join different activities. There was also representation from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Presence of God Ministry, and the Basilio Scientific School. The host of the meeting was a new Peace Ambassador for Peace, Matías Sayavedra, representing Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) in Santa Fe.
The exhibit, which was supported by the Association of Cultural Fairs and the Federal Consensus and Management Board, also had a solidarity goal: to collect school supplies and donate them to students from High School N° 599 and N° 1111 “Luis Borruat” from the Santa Rosa de Lima neighborhood.
It is worth recalling that, on January 26, 2021, Yndabor del Valle Sayavedra was designated as UPF’s Ambassador for Peace representative to Santa Fe’s Interreligious Dialogue and Peace Culture Board.
