Congo-Brazzaville—A three-day seminar for Ambassadors for Peace was held in Congo-Brazzaville at the Brotherhood of Liambou in the Kouilou Department with the theme “Education for the Culture of Peace: A factor for the establishment of a Heavenly Unified World.” There were thirty participants, including parliamentarians, local officials and Ambassadors for Peace.
Upon their arrival, participants were registered and given a badge. The secretary general of UPF Pointe-Noire, Mr. Augustin Zodji, gave some general guidelines on the goal of the seminar, the program agenda, and the attitude to adopt for the success of the seminar.
On Saturday, March 26, the program began at 6:00 am with a Hoondok Hwe reading from Cheon Seong Gyeong. Rev. Maixent Milolo explained the importance of Hoondok Hwe and encouraged the Ambassadors for Peace to practice it. This was followed by a sports activity.
The day continued with welcoming remarks by the departmental chairman, Mr. Michel Bounda, followed by opening remarks by Mr. Honoré Paka, Prefect of the Department of Pointe-Noire.
The first of three lectures, given by Mr. Zodji, had as its sub-theme: “The true meaning of peace for the establishment of a Heavenly Unified World.” He developed the idea of the culture of peace and reminded everyone that peace is established on the basis of unity which itself is based on love.
For his part, Rev. Norbert Ndielle, FFWPU national leader, in the second lecture recalled the responsibility of an Ambassador for Peace in the realization of a Heavenly Congo. He invited all the Ambassadors for Peace to receive the blessing.
The third lecture, given by the national secretary general of FFWPU, Mr. Achille Mouanda, focused on “Unification of the Korean Peninsula: Impact on peace in the world.” He developed this theme using True Parents’ words and videos. As True Father pointed out in his autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen, the unification of Korea will bring about the unification of the world.
The participants divided into three groups to reflect on what they learned that day.
Finally, on the third and last day, two presentations were given respectively by Mr. Zodji and the national secretary general of UPF-Congo, Mr. Clément Tsana, namely: “Dialogue and Citizen Negotiation for a Heavenly Congo in Unity,” and “The Five Universal Principles.”
The seminar concluded with the appointment of a new Ambassador for Peace and closing remarks by the Prefect, followed by a banquet.
The following day, a victory ceremony took place at the headquarters of the UPF-Pointe-Noire.
