Jakarta, Indonesia - From November 8 to 10, I had the opportunity to participate in the International Conference on Islam and Higher Education, jointly organized by the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I was invited to be one of the panelists on the theme "Synthesizing Traditional and Modern Knowledge: Sharing Experiences in the Muslim World," together with Prof. Sidek Baba and Dr. Bashir Galadanchi, the State Minister of Higher Education of Kano, Nigeria.
It was also a great reunion with some brothers I have known for a long time, such as Dato Saifuddin Abdullah, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, as well as conversation and networking.
