UPF-Eurasia Bids Farewell to Dr. Katsumi Ohtsuka

Moscow, Russia - UPF-Eurasia hosted a farewell gathering for Dr. Katsumi Ohtsuka, Chair of UPF Eurasia, on October 28 in Moscow. With a new assignment, he resigned his responsibility as chair of UPF-Eurasia. In his speech he expressed his gratitude to the UPF activists for their important work in the countries of the former Soviet Union: the Commonwealth of Independent States.
During his two and a half years of working in Eurasia Dr. Ohtsuka developed many outstanding UPF projects, notably the South Caucasus Peace Initiative, Baltic Dialogue, and educational activities in Russia. Among the letters of gratitude presented to him was a letter of thanks from Ambassadors for Peace in Azerbaijan, signed by former Prime Minister Rahim Huseynov.
The Eurasian chapter of the Universal Peace Federation wishes Dr. Katsumi and Mrs. Taeko Ohtsuka much success and fruitful activity in their new mission.
UPF-Eurasia will welcome a new Chairman, Rev. Eiji Tokuno, in November.

The pursuit of lasting world peace means that all of us need to combine our best thinking and create lasting partnerships. In this sense, we express our deep gratitude to you for promoting good interaction, mutual understanding of peace issues, and solid international and interreligious relationships.
All Ambassadors for Peace join together under the slogan “One Family under God” under the leadership of Dr. Sun Myung Moon, the great man who has devoted his life to strengthening families and working for peace on this planet.
Through our combined efforts we we will advance the ideal of establishing world peace.
