Ethiopia's President Appointed Ambassador for Peace

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - The president of Ethiopia, H.E. Girma Wolde-Giorgis, and the president of the state of Gambella, H.E. Omot Obang Olom, attended the appointment of 257 new Ambassadors for Peace and were presented with certificates as Ambassadors for Peace.
The education of new Ambassadors for Peace includes an introduction to the Universal Peace Federation, a PowerPoint presentation about the five basic principles of peace, and filling out a reflection form.
For the past five years, UPF has been collaborating with VECOD, an NGO dedicated to education about leadership and good governance, to build a network of Ambassadors for Peace. The executive director of VECOD (Vision Ethiopian Congress for Democracy), Mr. Tadele Derseh Girma, is also an Ambassador for Peace.
