St. Petersburg, Russia - UPF Ambassadors for Peace held a regular meeting of the Peace Council. The meeting was interesting and informative. This time it was attended by the Secretary General of the UPF Eurasian chapter, Jacques Marion. In his speech on the nature of human freedom and responsibility he continued the talk that was initiated during the previous meeting by Sergei Kuznetsov. That time Sergei spoke about external factors that caused the present situation in minds and hearts of the Russia population; Jacques Marion revealed the internal problems. He spoke on “Towards the society of interconnection, working together for mutual well-being, and universal values.” The participants were listening with great attention and afterwards they started a live discussion.
Thereafter, Tatyana Krasnosumova, Secretary General of the UPF Ural chapter, chairperson of the Peace Council in the North-east region, and Ambassador for Peace made her report. She told about the recently realized UPF project, the "Guiding Star" training camp for Young Ambassadors for Peace; her report was followed by reading comments of the participants and a slide show about life in the camp.
Afterwards, the General Director of the company “Baltfest” Ltd., Natalya Dolidze, took the floor. She spoke about “Joint partner-projects.” She told about development of the project “Light of the Christmas Star” that was launched two years ago together with UPF and about a new project, “Baltic Cruise,” that is set to start in the near future. It will include a festival-competition and forum on the theme of “right to life,” promoting healthy a lifestyle, solving issues of ecological security, and involving Young Ambassadors for Peace.
After the meeting, there was an informal communication and a tea party.
