In the News: UPF Awards Peace Medal to Sierra Leone President

Freetown, Sierra Leone - UPF bestowed the "Peace Medal Award" on Sierra Leone's President, Ernest Bai Koroma for what the federation referred to as his desire for peace not only in Sierra Leone but in the African continent.
The Vice President of UPF-Sierra Leone, Alice Kamara, introduced Katherine Rigney to the President at the April 5 ceremony. Katherine Rigney described the President as an important figure working for peace in Sierra Leone and Africa. In response, he talked about peace as an instrument to usher in other good things and enable people to work together.
