Rob Schrama Reports on the 'Jerusalem Hug'

Amsterdam, Netherlands - Ambassador for Peace Rob Schrama spoke at a UPF gathering on August 4 about the origins and his motivation for creating the Jerusalem Hug,in which people hold hands around the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, singing and praying for peace and respect for all humankind. The most recent Jerusalem Hug took place on July 3.

He described plans for 2012, which include a Jerusalem Hug, including a laser light "Peace Pyramid" which will also be installed in a number of cities around the world, and a Jerichon, a marathon from Jericho to Jerusalem, over the mountains. Some participants carry extra weight (stones) as a symbolic way to make restitution for the sins and suffering of the world and with the heart of bringing of peace to Jerusalem and thence the world.
