Seeking 100 Outstanding Nigerians to Work for National Unity

Abuja, Nigeria - As Nigeria commemorates 100 years (1914 - 2014) of unity in diversity, UPF-Nigeria will be celebrating Nigeria @ 100 with the appointment of 100 outstanding Nigerians and their spouses as Ambassadors for Peace on April 14, 2014 at the Main Auditorium of the National Merit Award House in Maitama, Abuja. The 100 Ambassadors for Peace shall be commissioned and mobilized as a UPF-Nigeria national unity committee.
Nominations are open to the public in order to provide opportunities to Nigerians to nominate outstanding citizens who can be commissioned to promote national unity.
Preference shall be given to outstanding Nigerians who are married, people of good character, able to rise above tribal rivalries, have a career, and affirm UPF's principles for peace.
Approved nominees will be asked to complete an acceptance form and submit a brief resume for inclusion in the program booklet for the celebration. Note that the nomination of a person does not necessarily mean the approval of the nomination, since a special committee will consider all nominations before giving their approval.
