Abuja, Nigeria - Former first lady of Kogi state, Dr Aisha Emeje, on Tuesday was honored with a 'Peace Ambassador' award in recognition of her selfless service and ingenuity in fostering peace.  The award which was organized by Universal Peace Federation (An NGO with consultative status at the UN). The event was tagged "Peace-Loving Global Citizens Campaign" and is part of the activities lined up as the UN begins count down to International Peace Day Celebration in September 2014.
