Peru-2015-05-24-Ambassadors for Peace Organize Activities and Volunteer in Lima, Peru

Lima, Peru—Throughout May, UPF-Peru was very active, co-sponsoring and participating in activities organized by Ambassadors for Peace.

Mother’s Day: A Mother’s Day celebration was organized in one of the poorer districts of Lima by an Ambassador for Peace, who holds the event every year, and asks UPF-Peru to participate in it.

Annual “Peruvian Women” conference at ESAN Graduate School of Business: ESAN and UPF-Peru co-sponsored the annual conference. The event was organized by Ambassador for Peace Mrs. Pilar Silveira. Vice president general Hector John Caro spoke about his experience as an Ambassador for Peace and encouraged attendees to live a life based on spiritual values. He concluded his remarks by appointing new Ambassadors for Peace and, on behalf of the UPF-Peru, presented Mrs. Silveira with an award in recognition of her 10 years of work for women.

Young Ambassadors for Peace: On the weekend of May 23-24, 2015 the Young Ambassadors for Peace team continued their work supporting parents of school children with special needs in the Ventanilla district of Lima. The focus of this visit was self-esteem and the use of bioenergy. The teachers, parents, and students expressed their appreciation to the Young Ambassadors for Peace for their volunteer work.
