Toronto, Canada—“The Essence of God” was the topic of UPF-Canada, Central District’s monthly meeting on June 6, 2015.
Dr. Chae Hee Lee spoke about the life, vision and teachings of UPF founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon and the attributes of the Creator God. He said, “Love is the representative of divine nature, which we can feel, and see everywhere in the creativity of God…Joy to humanity is by appreciating and aligning with the joy of God.”
Dr. Hoossen Auckberaullee, co-chair of UPF-Canada’s Central District, added that the beauty of God can be seen in our own creation. God is omnipotent; omniscient; omnipresent; absolute, and there is no one like God. The omnipotence of God refers to Him being “all powerful.” The omnipresence of God refers to Him being present everywhere. The omniscience of God refers to Him being “all knowing.” Rev. Moon had a vision to see all adherents of faith stand united under God, he said.
Auth. Qamrul Khanson, the recording secretary of the Central District, said: we, as religious people, have an obligation from Almighty God to cooperate on matters of common values by praising our Creator God. He then quoted 4:85 from the Qur’an: "Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein…"
Rev. Mitch Dixon, co-chair of UPF-Canada’s Central District, thanked Dr. Lee for his presentation, which was informative and greatly appreciated by everyone who had attended the meeting. An invitation was extended to everyone to attend a dinner hosted by the Horizon Multifaith Group in the Toronto district of Scarborough.
