Buenos Aires, Argentina—UPF-Argentina participated in a celebration of Children’s Day in the Padre Mugica neighborhood, Buenos Aires, in August. The event was organized by Ambassadors for Peace, Mr. Juan Domingo Romero, and Mr. César Sanabria, who lead the nonprofit organization, Los Principitos de Retiro (The Little Princess of Retiro). Candies and gifts were given to the children, who were surrounded by their parents and neighbors, at the celebration.
The event was held at a recreational place near the Retiro Bus Station in Padre Mugica, which has more than 70,000 residents. In addition to leading Los Principitos de Retiro, Mr. Romero is also the founder of a community radio station, and Mr. Sanabria and his wife, Greis Villarpando, volunteer for local drug abuse and delinquency prevention programs.
