Buenos Aires, Argentina—UPF-Argentina’s Ambassadors Cycle speaker series for 2017 was launched with an event featuring writer and lecturer Mario Gluzman (*), who presented on “Managing Stress and Conflicts Through Our Intelligence.” The event was held at the Embassy for Peace in Buenos Aires, on April 20, 2017.

Mr. Gluzman, an Ambassador for Peace, began his presentation, by showing the video “El camión de basura” (The Dump Truck), and by quoting José de San Martín’s well-known phrase, “You will be what you must be, or else you will be nothing.” Then he asked and shared his answers to several existential questions, such as, who am I? What is my goal? What am I doing to achieve these goals? Who are we and what do we want to be in this world?

He talked about the various skills that come through the Spirit, not always through the mind, and how to achieve spiritual strength and “recognize that all powers come from the divinity, which is [our] essence as a being.” He affirmed, “spiritual intelligence connects us…with the deepest sense of who we are.”

He also spoke of our reality being full of conflicts and quoted Albert Einstein: “In times of crisis, only imagination is more important than knowledge.” He invited the guests to recognize and learn how to use their intelligence to manage stress and achieve inner peace.

After the one-hour presentation, a Q&A session was held, and Mr. Gluzman introduced a book he wrote “for rediscovering” one’s life entitled, “Emmanuel, la palabra revelada… que ilumina al hombre.”

The program also included the showing of an introductory video on the mission and work of UPF.

At the end of the event, everyone enjoyed refreshments.

The Ambassadors Cycle is an initiative of UPF-Argentina that seeks to provide Ambassadors for Peace with the opportunity to share their experiences and expertise as well as to speak about the activities in which they are involved.
