Taipei, Taiwan—UPF-Chinese Region held a seminar for Ambassadors for Peace from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan from April 20 to 21, 2017 at its new headquarters. Thirty-five people participated in the two-day program. Among the speakers were UPF-Chinese Region special emissary, Dr. Hideo Oyamada, who spoke on his experiences with UPF founders, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, and UPF-Chinese Region chair, Mr. Ker-shung Lee, who gave two presentations on UPF’s Principles of Peace.
This seminar and the recent opening of UPF-Chinese Region’s new headquarters marks a new beginning for the chapter, which plans to organize more programs for Ambassadors for Peace, as well as local leaders and NGO leaders, in the future.
Many of the participants said they were amazed by the amount of work UPF has accomplished and expressed their support for future UPF activities.
